The Undergraduate Neuroscience Organization (UNO) is a group of undergraduate students at the University of Georgia on the pursuit of knowledge through neuroscience. As a flourishing team, we aim to serve UGA, the Athens community, and people everywhere affected by neurodegenerative diseases. Our mission is to emphasize the value of neuroscience and show the necessity of excellence in research.
By engaging in philanthropic projects, we aid neuroscience research and spread awareness about issues in neuroscience. Through spreading awareness, we help unlock the secrets of the brain and push back the frontiers of science to change lives everywhere. |
This year we will be hosting a silent auction to raise awareness for Parkinson's disorder. The theme of our auction will revolve around alternative therapies that supplement clinical care. Such as exercise, art and music therapy. By the end of a wonderful evening our hope is that we can correct the common misconception that only doctors and scientists can help those with PD and you walk away knowing that Everyone has the ability to help. All funds will be donated to the Parkinson's Foundation of Georgia to ensure the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. |
